What is Collagen PIN treatment

As we age our ability to regenerate new skin cells and collagen diminishes. There are a variety of effective methods to treat and rejuvenate your skin which can include laser based treatments, chemical peels and micro-needling. Powered automated Micro-needling is a method of introducing a controlled wound into the skin triggering a release of natural growth factors, new collagen and elastin. This process causes much less damage to the epidermis than using manual dermal rolling and other more aggressive treatments, helping to reduce recovery time whilst achieving a significant improvement in the quality of your skin.

The Collagen PIN (Percutaneous Induction Needling, also referred to as PCIT, Percutaneous Collagen Induction Therapy is known as micro-needling, or automated micro-needling) is a method of introducing a controlled wound into the skin, which then activates a release of natural growth factors, new collagen and elastin. This visibly reduces signs of ageing such as fine lines and wrinkles leaving you a younger, fresher appearance.

Your Collagen PIN Experience

Before Collagen PIN

Before Collagen PIN treatment, we invite you to visit our medically led clinic in Sutton Coldfield, with easy transport links to surrounding areas such as Walsall, Lichfield, Tamworth and Birmingham. Our specialist Doctor will give you a full assessment prior to your procedure. To be sure that a Collagen PIN is the most effective treatment for you, our expert will discuss with you what kind of results you would like to achieve, and will explain the process, what results you can expect to achieve and any potential side effects to ensure that you have all the information before you make a decision.

During Collagen PIN Treatment

Your Collagen PIN treatment is carried out in one of our state of the art treatment rooms at our award winning cosmetic clinic in Mere Green, Sutton Coldfield. Our private clinic is easily accessible from the M6 and Birmingham city centre with our existing clients coming from all over the West Midlands including Cannock, Lichfield, Tamworth, West Bromwich and Walsall. Your Collagen PIN treatment takes place in one of our modern treatment rooms.

Step 1: Prior to treatment, we apply a numbing agent to the area requiring treatment, to ensure that the procedure feels comfortable and pain-free. We also massage a hydrating serum into your skin, to boost overall skin health.

Step 2: Our practitioner will run the Collagen PIN slowly across the specific area of skin to be treated. The needles found inside the Collagen PIN device carefully create small perforations to stimulate repair and renew the top layer of skin.

Step 3: We continue working the Collagen PIN around the skin in a circular motion for a variable amount of time, depending on the size of the area being treated.

After Collagen PIN Treatment

We provide a wide range of specialist camouflage makeup, with healing properties that effectively hides any redness during the week after treatment.

Collagen PIN Side Effects

Immediately after your treatment you will experience some redness to the skin, similar to sunburn, that may last for several hours after treatment. You may experience some mild crusting and shedding of the skin over the following week during the healing process, which can be managed using our recommended post-procedure skincare.
